Actor to director indie comedy
Tim Allen will make his feature directing debut on “Crazy on the Outside,” an independently financed comedy.
Allen will star, along with Ray Liotta, Carrie-Anne Moss, Julie Bowen and Kelsey Grammer, who are all in talks. Pic’s set for a March shoot in Los Angeles.
Scripted by Judd Pillot and John Peaslee, the adult-themed comedy stars Allen as a parolee who finds life outside a prison cell to be much crazier once he enters his quirky sister’s world.
Allen previously directed an episode of “Home Improvement.”
Pic will be produced by Brian Reilly, Brett Gregory, Richard Baker and Anastasia Stanecki. Justin Moritt is exec producer.
Allen recently wrapped the David Mamet-directed “Redbelt” and comedy “The Six Wives of Henry Lefay.”
