Exec named president of worldwide marketing

Summit Entertainment has tapped veteran exec Nancy Kirkpatrick prexy of worldwide marketing.

She will develop and oversee marketing campaigns for the company’s annual slate of 10-12 wide releases.

Kirkpatrick has been serving as a consultant to the studio. She will report to chief operating officer Bob Hayward and work closely with toppers Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger.

Kirkpatrick previously worked with Friedman during his stints at Paramount and Warner Bros. She spent most of this decade as exec VP of worldwide publicity for Par, overseeing the campaigns for the “Mission: Impossible” franchise, “War of the Worlds,” “The Longest Yard,” “The Italian Job,” “Mean Girls,” “The Hours” and the “Jackass” films.

At Warner Bros., she was senior VP of domestic publicity, overseeing campaigns for “Batman,” “Twister,” “JFK” and “Space Jam.”
