Roissy sells ‘Agnes’ doc to trio

Zazie, Benelux, and Seville pick up Varda film

SANTA MONICA — Roissy Films’ autobiographical doc “The Beaches of Agnes,” helmed by Agnes Varda, has been picked up by Japan’s Zazie Films, Benelux’ Cinéart and Canada’s Seville Pictures.

Produced by Cine Tamaris, “The Beaches of Agnes” screened at the Toronto, Venice, Rio and London  film fests.

Yohann Conte, Roissy’s head of sales, says the company is also in talks to sell rights in the U.K., U.S., Korea, Portugal and Spain.

Roissy Films, which has 500-title catalog, was bought by Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp last January.
