Film orgs form alliance

The Producers Guild of America and the Screen Production and Development Assn. of New Zealand have formed an alliance.

PGA exec director Vance Van Petten made the announcement Tuesday.

Pact was OK’d at the annual Spada conference and signed by Stuart Levy, chair of the PGA’s international committee, and Spada prexy Richard Fletcher. Signing followed several months of discussion initiated by the PGA’s New Zealand rep, Bruce Kerner.

“Affiliating with Spada represents a unique opportunity for our guild’s members to interact with our esteemed colleagues in New Zealand,” said Levy.
