Paskaljevic goes on ‘Honeymoon’

Director signs on to emigration drama

Serbian director Goran Paskaljevic (“Cabaret Balkan”), one of the main jurors at Switzerland’s Locarno fest, will helm the first Serbian-Albanian co-production, emigration drama “Honeymoon.”

Budgeted at e1.5 million ($2.23 million), pic is a co-production between Belgrade’s Nova Film (28%), Tirana’s Ska-ndal Prods. (28%) and Italy’s Verdeoro and Paolomar (28% combined). Remaining 16% is likely to be shared by post-production companies in Germany and Switzerland.

Script is co-written by Paskaljevic and Albanian scribe Genc Permeti.
