Paramount lifts Georgia Kacandes

Exec to head feature production management

Paramount Pictures has upped Georgia Kacandes to president of feature production management, worldwide.

In her new post, Kacandes will oversee all aspects of worldwide physical production, production finance and estimating for all Paramount Pictures, Paramount Vantage, Paramount Famous, MTV Films and Nickelodeon Movies releases. Some of the projects she will oversee in her new capacity include the “Footloose” remake, “The Last Airbender” and “Beverly Hills Cop 4.”

Earlier this year, Kacandes segued to Paramount from her role as executive VP of physical production at Paramount Vantage, when the studio consolidated its marketing, distribution and physical distribution departments under the Paramount umbrella. At Vantage, Kacandes oversaw the productions for “A Mighty Heart,” “Year of the Dog,” “Margot at the Wedding,” “No Country for Old Men” and “There Will Be Blood.”
