Overture hires Sinayi as senior VP

New exec to oversee theatrical distribution

Year-old Overture Films has tapped veteran exec John Sinayi as senior VP of theatrical distribution.

He’ll report to Kyle Davies, the film studio’s exec VP of theatrical distribution.

Sinayi was VP-district manager for the Western and central divisions for New Line and worked in both the Los Angeles and Dallas offices during a 14-year tenure.

Overture, backed by John Malone’s Liberty Media, recently launched its first release, “Mad Money,” and will open “Sleepwalking” on March 14.
