Actress to receive career achievement award

French thesp Isabelle Huppert will receive a career achievement award from the Montreal World Film Festival.

Fest, which opens Aug. 21 and runs until Sept. 1, will show five of her films as a tribute, including “Home” (2008), directed by Ursula Meier.

The others are 1978’s “Violette Noziere” (directed by Claude Chabrol with whom Huppert has made seven films), 1980’s “Heaven’s Gate” (directed by Michael Cimino), “Madame Bovary” (1990, Chabrol) and “L’Ivresse du pouvoir” (Comedy of Power, 2006, Chabrol).
