Jan Troell film leads Swedish awards race

STOCKHOLM — Jan Troell’s “Everlasting Moments” leads the race for Sweden’s top film prize, the Golden Bugs.

Pic, which is nommed for a Golden Globe and is Sweden’s entry for the Oscars, picked up eight Golden Bug noms Tuesday, including film, director, actor, actress and script.

IFC is distribbing the pic in the U.S.

Troell has won five Golden Bugs in previous years, two for director and three for film.

Tomas Alfredson’s vampire hit “Let the Right One In,” which has taken $1.3 million at the U.S. B.O., earned five Bug noms, as did Ruben Ostlund’s “Involuntary,” which screened in Un Certain Regard at Cannes.

The awards will be handed out in Stockholm Jan. 12.
