Lionsgate has promoted Eda Kowan to senior VP of acquisitions and co-productions under a new three- year contract.
She’ll will report to Jason Constantine, president of acquisitions and co-productions.
Kowan joined Lionsgate in 2000, and has been involved in acquiring “More Than a Game,” “Saw,” “Religulous,” “The Descent,” “Away From Her” and “Transporter 3.” She also oversees negative pickups, including “New in Town” and “Conan the Barbarian.”
In addition, Kowan supervises all market and festival preparation, including the prioritizing of films as potential acquisitions. She began her career in acquisitions at Trimark, which was acquired by Lionsgate in 2000.
