Documentarian to be in-house creative director

TORONTO — Gary Lang, co-helmer on James Cameron’s 2005 documentary “Last Mysteries of the Titanic,” has been tapped as in-house creative director of Toronto-based factual entertainment and new-media company Cream Prods.

Lang has directed, written or produced more than 60 programs for the Discovery and National Geographic channels, Gaul’s Canal Plus, Blighty’s Channel 4 and Canada’s History Channel. He wrote the epic Science/Discovery Canada series “Mars Rising” and just finished helming expedition special “The Crystal Cave” for broadcast later this year on NatGeo U.S. and Discovery Canada.

Cream is in production on the two-hour “Great Sperm Race” for Discovery Canada and Channel 4, and wrapping two-part WWI archeology doc “Dugout” for Channel 4 and History Canada.
