Kim Cattrall to star in ‘Miss January’

Keith Bearden to write, direct feature film

Kim Cattrall is starring in “Miss January,” a film that marks the feature directorial debut of Keith Bearden, who wrote the script.

Brian Dennehy, Dustin Ingram, Keith David and Sam McMurray also star.

Pic is about a young man who travels cross-country to meet his dream woman, a 1980s cinema siren who is now a 50-year-old single mother in the middle of a child custody battle.

Pic, which is shooting in Michigan, is produced and financed by Gilbert Films. Founder Gary Gilbert is producing with Jordan Horowitz.

Bearden steps up to feature directing after helming short films and winning a Silver Lion at Cannes for his commercials work.

Gilbert was a producer and financier of the Zach Braff-directed “Garden State” and the Mark Pellington-directed “Henry Poole Is Here.”
