John Stockwell to direct ‘Sanctuary’

Susco script based on Connolly's 'Bad Men'

John Stockwell has signed to direct supernatural thriller “Sanctuary” from Stephen Susco’s script for Lionsgate and Sobini Films, which are co-financing.

Producers of “Sanctuary” are Sobini topper Mark Amin, Michael Gaeta, Alison Rosenzweig and Cami Winnikoff. Susco will exec produce.

Story, based on John Connolly’s novel “Bad Men,” revolves around a mysterious woman who takes refuge on a haunted island off the Maine coast.

Stockwell’s credits include “Turistas,” “Into the Blue” and “Blue Crush.”
