David Lisle Johnson III to direct indie drama

Gregory Smith (“Everwood”) will star in the indie drama “In My Pocket,” produced by Linear Pictures and Burnside Entertainment. Lensing begins this month around Los Angeles.

Pic revolves around the lives of two fundamentally different people who find common ground in their addictions.

David Lisle Johnson III is making his directing debut on the pic, helming from a script he co-wrote with newcomer Joseph Ferrugio.

Linear Pictures’ Johnson, Christopher Kemp Fredie and Saeid Esmaeilian are producing through their shingle, which aims to make films that raise awareness about social issues. Seth William Meier and Glen Trotiner are producing through their Burnside Entertainment shingle.

Rudy J. Renda and R. Kenneth Harkness serve as exec producers.
