Pair extend pact for three years

BERLIN — Eastern European Acquisition Pool has extended its distribution agreement with pay TV group Canal Plus in Poland for an additional three years.

The deal, which continues a contract initially inked in 2003, provides Canal Plus with access to most of EEAP’s upcoming lineup, including new TV series.

In the past year and a half, Canal Plus has acquired more than 50 titles from the Berlin-based distrib, including “1408,” “The Eye,” “Nanny Diaries,” “Saw 4” and “The Mist.”

“Thanks to Canal Plus, EEAP is today one of the leading independent content licensors in Poland,” said EEAP managing director Alexander van Duelmen.
