Group to fund filmmakers

Cinereach will offer a $5,000 grant to each of the four filmmakers selected for its 2009 Reach Fellowship program, and an additional $5,000 to the winner of the best film competish. The Reach Fellowship pairs the directors with mentors, including Jeremy Kipp Walker, co-producer of “Half Nelson” and production manager on “Maria Full of Grace”; and “The Woodsman” helmer Nicole Kassell. Columbia student Brendan McQueen, NYU alum Jules Monteyne and student Dena Greenbaum, plus Savannah College of Art and Design student Danielle Russell are the four fellows for 2009.
