Film unit nabs rights to documentary
Cinema Libre Studio has acquired international rights to distribute“Bloodline,” a doc in the vein of “The Da Vinci Code” that presents “remarkable evidence” of a Jesus Christ-Mary Magdalene bloodline.
Filmmakers Bruce Burgess and Rene Barnett examined historical records, legends and artifacts and conducted interviews with experts and members of secret society the Priory of Sion. The notion of such a bloodline was explored in the 1983 international bestseller “Holy Blood, Holy Grail.”
The doc will preem in May in Gotham and Los Angeles, with a platform release to follow.
