Actress joins Schreiber, Hunt in drama

Carla Gugino will complete the triangle in “Every Day,” joining Liev Schreiber and Helen Hunt in a drama that begins shooting in New York this month. Richard Levine wrote the script and will make his feature directing debut on the pic.

Miranda Bailey and Matthew Leutwyler are producing through Ambush Entertainment, and the film is being financed through Ambush’s financing arm, Cold Iron Pictures.

Schreiber and Hunt play a married couple in turmoil as he plods along as the unsatisfied writer of a semi-pornographic TV show. Gugino play a sexy colleague who propositions him, creating a crisis that strains his marriage to the breaking point.

Gugino, who plays a recurring character on “Entourage,” was most recently seen in “Righteous Kill” and most recently completed “Watchmen” and “Race to Witch Mountain.”
