Film unit goes on selling spree

LONDON — Focus Film Intl. has continued its strong Cannes selling spree with a clutch of post-market deals.

Germany’s Senator Films has acquired domestic rights to Sam Mendes’ untitled romantic comedy starring John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph.

Focus execs have also concluded U.K. deals with up-and-coming distrib Contender for the Mendes project and “Traveling,” a romantic comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart.

Momentum has acquired U.K. rights on Gus Van Sant’s biopic “Milk,” starring Sean Penn as slain gay rights activist Harvey Milk.
