Block’s Boat sells ‘Frozen’ rights

Film production to begin in February

Ex-Lionsgate exec Peter Block’s new outfit A Bigger Boat has sold rights in the U.K., Spain, France and other territories to its first film, “Frozen.”

GreeneStreet Films, which is handling worldwide sales, closed several deals at AFM for the thriller written and directed by Adam Green (“Hatchet”).

Story follows three skiers stranded on a chairlift and forced to make life-or-death choices that prove more perilous than staying put and freezing to death.

A February production start is planned.

A Bigger Boat is operated in partnership with GreeneStreet and has distrib deals with Overture Films in the U.S. and Alliance Films in Canada.

Block, who oversaw Lionsgate productions including the “Saw” series, “Rambo” and “The Bank Job,” is also co-exec producer of NBC series “Fear Itself.”
