Bergman Foundation finds CEO

Dahlberg formerly headed drama at SvT

STOCKHOLM — Ingrid Dahlberg has been appointed CEO of the Ingmar Bergman Foundation, charged with strengthening its position in Sweden and internationally.

Dahlgren was previously head of drama at pubcaster Swedish Television (SvT) and head of the Royal Dramatic Theater.

In those capacities, she worked closely with Bergman, who died last year. She produced the Bergman- scripted “Best Intentions” and “Private Conversations” for SvT, and as head of the theater she worked with Bergman when he directed August Strindberg’s “The Ghost Sonata” and Henrik Ibsen’s “Ghosts.”

Dahlberg says: “The collaboration with Ingmar Bergman is the most stimulation I have ever had. I hope it will be as stimulating to work to keep his legacy alive.”

She will combine her CEO duties with, among other jobs, serving on the boards of production giant Svensk and pubcaster TV4.
