ASC setting kudos in Stone

Heritage Award to pay tribute to Deluxe prexy

The American Society of Cinematographers announced the 2009 Heritage Award to be named after the late prexy of Deluxe Laboratories, Burton “Bud” Stone.

Awarded to recent or current undergrads or graduate film students, the kudo will be announced Feb. 15 at the 23rd annual ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards.

This is the first year the award will be named after a member of the film industry. Stone died April 18 in Los Angeles.
