ASC honors Liu, Mankofsky

Third annual event will be held Nov. 6

The American Society of Cinematographers has tapped Robert F. “Bobby” Liu and Isidore Mankofsky for two of its highest honors, to be presented Feb. 15 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

Org will fete Liu with its career achievement in television kudo and Mankofsky with the president’s award.

Both honorees have worked extensively in television, Liu having received Emmy noms for his work on “Lou Grant” and “Family Ties,” and Mankofsky for “Polly,” “Afterburn” and “Love, Lies and Murder.”

Last year’s career achievement in TV award went to George Spiro Dibie and the president’s nod was given to Richard Edlund.
