Wind Dancer acquires ‘BFF’

Fenton, Cowles to produce comedy film

Wind Dancer Films has acquired the female buddy comedy spec script “BFF” from the writing team of Vanessa Parise and Robin Dunne.

H2F’s Chris Fenton and Chris Cowles will produce the project along with Matt Williams and Judd Payne of Wind Dancer.

The script follows two childhood best friends reunited years later in Manhattan, where one has found success while the other remained unfulfilled in their small hometown.

Parise’s credits include “Kiss the Bride,” in which she also starred, and “Jack and Jill vs. the World.” Dunne co-created, wrote and produces the “Roxy Hunter” telepics for Nickelodeon and stars in the series “Sanctuary” for Sci Fi Channel.

H2F recently wrapped “Still Waiting” for Lionsgate and is prepping production on a sequel to “The Marine.”

Wind Dancer’s teamed with Store Front Prods. on “Daughter of the Queen of Sheba,” to star Amy Adams.
