Denmark royal tries hand at writing

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark is starting a new career — as a scribe.

She will write the script for a short based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale “The Wild Swans.” Short will be helmed by Jesper W. Nielsen for producer Jacob Jorgensen’s shingle J.J. Film. The Danish Film Institute has kicked in $130,000. The queen previously provided the voiceover for Jorgensen’s animated short based on Andersen’s “The Snow Queen.”
