Ross Patterson is stepping up to the plate on indie baseball mockumentary “The Wiffler: The Ted Whitfield Story.”
Patterson is producing along with Tommy Reid and Aimee Flaherty. Shooting recently began in Northridge, Calif. Reid is directing.
Story, penned by Patterson, takes place during the Major League Baseball strike of 1994 and envisions a nation turning its eyes to wiffleball and attempts to break the homerun record.
Joey Kern, Alana Ubach, Christine Lakin, Nick Thune, Richard Gant, Richard Riele and Chris Tarantino also star.
Patterson wrote, created, and starred in “The Barnes Brothers” for MTV and is starring in “Garden Party.”
