'Woodstock' director to attend festival Tribute
BERLIN — Michael Wadleigh, director of the 1970 Oscar-winning documentary “Woodstock” and the 1981 cult classic “Wolfen,” starring Albert Finney, will be honored at the upcoming International Filmfest Oldenburg.
The fest is paying homage to Wadleigh as part of its Tribute showcase. “Woodstock” and “Wolfen” will screen at the 15th annual fest, which runs Sept. 10-14.
Wadleigh will attend the event, which is also honoring filmmaker James Toback with a retrospective this year.
Wadleigh joins recent Tribute recipients such as Stacey Keach, who was honored last year, and German helmer Peter Fleischmann.
