GigaPix plans five kid-friendly films

Project budgets to range from $6-10 million

GigaPix Studios has secured private coin for a slate of five kid-friendly films with budgets ranging from $6 million to 10 million.

GigaPix topper David Pritchard also announced that each film will be backed by a revolving credit line of $25 million in P&A from Polychrome Picture/Gold River Entertainment. Media 8 will handle foreign distribution and all sales.

First pic will be Sidney Bartholomew’s adventure fantasy “Blackbeard,” lensing in April.

Pritchard produced “Captain Abu Raed,” Jordan’s foreign-language Oscar contender, and was an exec producer on “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy” and “King of the Hill.”
