TV executive to give keynote

Elisabeth Murdoch, chair-CEO of U.K. shingle Shine, will give a keynote speech on creativity without borders at the Mip TV sales mart in Cannes on April 7.

Murdoch, who is about to finalize the purchase of U.S. producer Reveille, said: “Encouraging creativity is central to the Shine Group’s expansion, both at home and internationally. It is a precursor to commercial success for us all and has the power to transcend all geographical and cultural borders.”

Murdoch founded Shine in 2001 and has built up the combo into one of Blighty’s superindie TV production houses.

Mip TV is organized by Reed Midem, which, like Daily Variety, is a division of the Reed Elsevier conglom.
