Alliance takes multiple territories
LONDON — Ealing Studios Intl. has secured strong sales for its Oscar Wilde adaptation “Dorian Gray” and romantic drama “The Other Man,” starring Liam Neeson and Antonio Banderas.
“Dorian Gray,” with Ben Barnes in the lead and Oliver Parker helming, has been acquired by Alliance Films for its transatlantic distribution network in Canada, the U.K. through Momentum Pictures, Aurum in Spain, Eagle in Italy and Scanbox in Scandinavia.
Concorde has picked up all German-speaking territories for the pic with Village Roadshow taking rights for Australia and New Zealand. Odeon has acquired “Dorian Gray” for Greece with Best Film acquiring the pic for Poland.
“The Other Man,” with Neeson playing a jealous husband who suspects his wife Laura Linney of having an affair, has sold to A Film in Benelux, Village Roadshow in Australia, New Zealand and Greece, Prime Pictures in the Middle East, TMC in Turkey, Costello Lopes in Portugal, Best Film in Poland, Karantanijia in former Yugoslavia and ProRom in Romania. Wide Pictures has acquired the rights for Spain.
