Son of Marlon Brando succumbs to pneumonia
Christian Brando, the troubled eldest son of the late actor Marlon Brando, has died. He was 49.
Brando, who died from pneumonia Saturday morning at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, had been hospitalized since Jan. 11.
A high school dropout, Brando had small roles in a handful of movies, including 1968’s “I Love You, Alice B. Toklas!” But he was mostly known for his brushes with the law, including spending five years in prison for killing his sister Cheyenne’s boyfriend in 1990 and spousal abuse charges in 2005.
Brando was not married and had no children at the time of his death. Funeral plans were pending.
