LONDON — U.K. feature doc fest Britdoc, which debuted in 2006, has ditched its annual summer three-day event in Oxford to take to the road partnering with major fests instead.
This year, Britdoc partners with leading docu fest Sheffield Doc/Fest, which started Wednesday.
“It’s our hope that by pooling our expertise, we can double the benefits to filmmakers,” said Heather Croall, director of Sheffield Doc/Fest.
Under the re-think, Britdoc also plans to beef up its year-round online offering. Under these plans, Goodfilm.org — a website designed to link brands and NGOs with docu projects — will launch in January.
