Exec to guide internal, external communications
Steven Piorkowski has been upped to VP of corporate communications for Warners.
Piorkowski, who reports to exec VP of corporate communications Sue Fleishman, will help guide internal and external communications for the studio. He will craft press releases, presentations and speeches for studio execs, working with publicity and communications execs across the studio’s business units. In addition, he will coordinate with Time Warner on ongoing projects such as the annual report and quarterly earning documents.
Piorkowski has worked for the studio for more than 15 years in a variety of communication capacities. He joined the studio as an assistant to the head of Warner Bros. Television publicity in 1990 and then left in 1995 for 18 months, returning as manager of television distribution PR in 1996. He was elevated to editorial director of corporate communications in 2000 and to exec director last year.
Previously, Piorkowski worked at the PR firms Solters/Roskin/Friedman and the Brogliatti Co.
