As of July 30, film has drawn 4 million people

TOKYO — “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” has passed Y5 billion ($46.4 million) at the Japanese B.O., according to distrib Par.

The pic reached this milestone, which indicates blockbuster status in the Japanese market, on the 40th day of its release.

The totals as of July 30 were $46.78 million on 4,039,045 admissions.

In its 6th weekend on release, July 26-27, the pic earned $1.28 million on 105,073 admissions at 604 screens. 

“Indy 4” has racked up $771 million worldwide, making it the No. 1 B.O. pic in this year to date.  

In terms of non-U.S. B.O., Japan is the No. 2 territory for the pic after the U.K.
