Alan Ladd Jr. retrospective at USC

University alum to be honored on Oct. 4, 5

The U. of Southern California will honor Alan Ladd Jr. with a film retrospective to be held Oct. 4 and 5.

USC alum will be on hand following a Sunday screening of “Braveheart” at the campus’s Norris Theater Complex. The two-day event also will screen “The Right Stuff,” “Chariots of Fire,” “Young Frankenstein” and “Blade Runner: The Director’s Cut.”

Ladd is set to produce the 2009 releases of “My French Whore” and “A Dream of Red Mansions,” starring Ken Watanabe.
