Exec to spearhead websites

Continuing to fill out its executive ranks, the Oprah Winfrey Network has named Robert Tercek president of digital media.

Previously chief marketing officer for mobile entertainment company MForma Group, Tercek will spearhead the creation and development of multiplatform opportunities for both OWN and Oprah.com. He’ll be based in Los Angeles, but also will have an office in Chicago.

While at MForma, Tercek is credited with forming content partnerships with Paramount, Universal, CBS, Atari, Activision, Hasbro, Sportsline and Marvel Comics.

Previous career stops include a stint as creative director at MTV, and later senior VP of digital media at Sony Pictures Entertainment.

A joint venture between Oprah Winfrey and Discovery Communications, OWN will launch next year in more than 70 million homes.
