Folkets Bio inks deal with film company

STOCKHOLM — Indie distrib Folkets Bio has inked a deal with Nordic Pan Vision to distribute its titles theatrically. The first film to be released is Spanish horror film “The Orphanage.”

Pan Vision previously had a distribution deal with Sonet, but that ended when latter was bought by giant Svensk. Forthcoming Pan Vision films to be distributed by Folkets Bio are Luc Jacquet’s “Le Renard et l’enfant” and Hayao Miyazaki’s “Porco rosso.”

Folkets Bio also takes over the theatrical distribution of older Pan Vision titles like Guillermo del Toro’s “Pan’s Labyrinth,” David Lynch’s “Inland Empire” and several Mizayaki features.
