CarpeDiem seizes studio opportunity

'My Life Me' gets Animation Station

MONTREAL — Canuck producer CarpeDiem is opening the Animation Station studio to host the production of its new series “My Life Me.”

The Montreal-based company has hired a dozen staffers, including studio manager Francois Vachon.

Vachon was lead compositor for the TV series “Journey to the Center of the Earth” and for the pic “Pinocchio P3K,” and was compositing team head at Montreal production house Cine-Groupe.

CarpeDiem will produce 52×11-minute episodes (or 26 half-hours) of “My Life Me,” an animated series for Teletoon in Canada and France 2 about teen life, which includes manga-inspired sequences.

Series is a co-production between CarpeDiem and German production company TV Loonland, with exec producer duties handled by Marie-Claude Beauchamp and Nomand Thauvette from CarpeDiem and Olivier Dumont from TV Loonland.

TV Loonland is selling the series internationally.
