HONG KONG — Games giant Electronic Arts has acquired Asian distribution rights to the PC version of role-playing game “Devil May Cry 4” from Capcom.
EA will release it July 17 in Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines
“Devil 4” has been a hit as a console game, selling more than 2 million units since February, but in much of Asia, gamers prefer to play on PC or online.
Set in a gothic supernatural universe, the latest version of the game features two playable characters and high definition visuals moving at 60 frames per second.
Capcom publishes “Resident Evil” and “Street Fighter,” which have been adapted as movies, and also publishes “Mega Man” and “Bionic Commando.”
