Duo pact on 3-D multi-player online game
HONG KONG — Games giant Electronic Arts has pacted with China’s NetDragon to develop a 3-D massively multi-player online role-playing game based on EA’s 10-year-old “Dungeon Keeper” series.
Hong Kong stock market-listed NetDragon keeps rights to the MMORPG version in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
“The partnership is a significant milestone for EA as it will enhance our intellectual property and extend our product reach throughout the Greater China region,” Jon Niermann, prexy of EA Asia Pacific said.
Online game playing is the platform that dominates much of the Asian market.
