The Creative Coalition plans concerts and a special luncheon honoring Annette Bening as part of its presence at this summer’s Democratic and Republican conventions.

They plan the musical concerts on the third night of each event. Democrats meet in Denver from Aug. 25-28, and Republicans are in Minneapolis from Sept. 1-4.

Bening will be honored at a luncheon that also is a salute to the 14 women senators in Congress.

Among those in the Creative Coalition’s "delegations" — not to be confused with the actual convention delegates — are Quentin Tarantino, Spike Lee, Susan Sarandon, Neil Patrick Harris, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dana Delany, Barry Levinson, Matthew Modine, Wendie Malick, Rachael Leigh Cook, Cheryl Hines, and Alan Cumming. Co-chairs will be Tim Daly, Kerry Washington, Tom Fontana and Sue Kramer.

The Creative Coalition is non partisan, and is an advocacy organization for the arts community and entertainment industry.
