Toy-be changes moniker to Adways

Producer renamed after Adways Group buy

TOKYO — Pic producer Toy-be Entertainment has changed its name to Adways Entertainment in the wake of its August purchase by Adways Group, whose core business is mobile and Internet advertising.

The film company’s “Yesterday,” a drama by first-timer helmer Takashi Kubota starring Takashi Tsukamoto, will open Nov. 1 in Japan.    

The company is producing “Thunderboys,” a Singapore-set sports pic, together with Singapore-based Mediatribe and Shooting Gallery Motion Pictures. Movie is skedded to shoot from the end of this year to early 2009, with actor and shorts filmmaker Alaric Tay helming.
