Those crazy kids at United Hollywood have thought the better of staging the "Ben Silverman High School Prom" outside NBC on Thursday. Organizers United Hollywood and Hot in Hollywood decided that, while humor is always helpful in stressful situations, the magnitude of the town's labor crisis didn't lend itself to goofy theatrical stunts right now. Especially with the DGA looking like it's closing in on a deal that could be the opening for the studios to resume talks with the WGA.

As United Hollywood put it in this post, now is the hour "to let the DGA negotiate in an atmosphere of utmost seriousness backed up by large, forceful pickets from the WGA."
