BUENOS AIRES — Argentina’s the Latin Flower Co. has signed an agreement to handle international sales of fiction series for Colombian producer Invento — the latest move by the new distributor to expand its catalog.
Skeins covered under the deal, signed in Buenos Aires by Latin Flower prexy Silvana D’Angelo and Invento international sales director Tina Hernandez, include “Baby Sister” and “El autentico Rodrigo leal” (The Real Rodrigo Leal).
Series such as “El inutil,” “Juegos prohibidos” and “Marido a sueldo” may come under the deal along with future projects, according to Latin Flower.
Invento, a joint venture between FremantleMedia and Colombian production outfit Teleset, is producing “Valentino el Argentino” with Argentina’s Pol-ka to air later this year on Colombia’s RCN and Argentina’s Artear-Canal 13.
Since its creation early this year, Latin Flower has nailed down sales agreements with Argentine producers Underground Contenidos, Pampa Films and RGB Entertainment, as well as Uruguay’s Teledoce.
It is headlining its portfolio for the April 7-11 Mip TV with Pampa’s Patagonia-set musical telenovela “High Dreams (Breaking Limits),” conman miniseries “Swindlers,” as well as “The Two Lives of Mr. Pells” from Underground, creator of hit womanizer comedy “Lalola.”
