PPL signs deal with Uradex

LONDON — British royalties society PPL has signed yet another reciprocal deal, this time with Belgian performer society Uradex.

The agreement brings PPL’s number of bilateral deals to 43.

PPL and Uradex members will benefit from the public performances, broadcasts and private copying of sound recordings in the U.K. and Belgium, receiving revenues backdated to 1996.

PPL’s head of international, Laurence Oxenbury, said: “Belgium is a diverse music market and is very open to U.K. repertoire and we are therefore delighted to put this agreement in place which has generated immediate receipts for our performer members.”
