Fresh from appearances for the heartbreaking real-life drama "A MIghty Heart," Angelina Jolie is in Prague in the sci-fi, action-packed, "Wanted," in which she’s an assassin instructing James McAvoy. Angelina’s no stranger to role diversification, "Wanted" producer Marc Platt reminds me of her starring role in "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" with Brad Pitt. Russia’s Timur Bekmambetov is directing and Platt tells me some of special effects will be accomplished in his (Timor’s) Russian studios. "Wanted" is set in Chicago — and Prague is becoming "the new Canada" with more international productions wending there. Platt has lately been world-traveling, having attended the preem of the all-Japanese "Wicked" in Tokyo. Platt’s next planning the all-German company for Nov.15, and a Dutch version in Amsterdam plus one in Australia in 2008. "Well leave no witch unturned," he happily tells me as the domestic "Wicked" box office continues booming.
