Trebek suffers minor heart attack

'Jeopardy!' host recuperating in local hospital

Longtime “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek suffered a minor heart attack Monday night at his home in Studio City and is recuperating at a local hospital.

Production of “Jeopardy!” on the Sony lot has been temporarily halted, with taping to resume in January, depending upon Trebek’s health.

Trebek, 67, has been host of the Sony-produced and CBS Television-distributed “Jeopardy!” for 24 years after taking over for Art Fleming. The gameshow remains a syndication hit for Sony along with stalwart “Wheel of Fortune.”
