The Fox-owned MyNetworkTV and Stage 29 Prods. have hired Judge Lynn Toler (“Divorce Court”) to host “Decision House,” a weekly primetime reality hour to premiere in September.
“Decision House” (formerly “Divorce Wars”) is one of a batch of reality hours cobbled together by MyNet for the 2007-08 season in the wake of the first season’s failed strategy of programming English-language versions of telenovelas.
Scheduled for Wednesdays at 8, “Decision House” asks Judge Toler and a panel of experts to “help couples on the brink of disaster tackle issues ranging from financial hardships to infidelity.”
The crucible of each episode is a three-day immersion in nonstop surveillance and counseling at a place called “Decision House,” where 27 cameras follow the couple. After three days, the panel issues a verdict on whether the couple should stick it out or get a divorce.
Exec producer is Jay McGraw for Stage 29. Kathy Giaconia is senior supervising producer.
