Starz Entertainment’s new monthly series of original Hollywood-oriented specials, “Starz Inside,” will debut Sept. 24 with film critic Richard Roeper hosting.
Series kicks off with “Fog City Mavericks: The Filmmakers of San Francisco,” a special about filmmakers who call the San Francisco Bay Area home including George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, Clint Eastwood, Chris Columbus and producer Saul Zaentz.
In the spirit of Halloween, series will air “Bloodsucking Cinema” will air on Oct. 26. Special explores Vampire films, including “Dracula,” “Interview with the Vampire” and “The Lost Boys, Blade.”
“Hollywood Goes Gaming,” about the meteoric rise in the popularity of video games transformed into films for the big screen and vice-versa, premieres on Nov. 26 and “Anime: Drawing a Revolution,” a documentary on the art of Anime, unspools on Dec. 17.
A 2008 slate of six additional Hollywood-focused specials will be announced shortly.
