MADRID — Organizers have set Nov. 7-9 dates for the 6th Spain TV Expo in Miami.
The mini-mart, designed to push sales of Spanish films and TV programming in the U.S., will take place at the Miami Beach Resort and Spa Hotel.
Featuring one-to-one business meetings, seminars and, naturally, fiestas, it is one of the longest-running national TV showcases in the U.S.
Companies traditionally repped at the showcase as buyers include U.S. Hispanic nets Univision and Telemundo, Venezuela’s Venevision, which runs U.S. feevee Venemovies, plus the major broadcasters from Argentina (Telefe and Artear), Mexico (Televisa) and Brazil (TV Globo).
Regular Spanish exhibitors take in pubcaster RTVE, commercial net Telecinco, Imagina, Spain’s biggest drama series seller, and top animation production and sales houses such as BRB, Icon and Neptuno.
Event is organized by the Trade Commission of Spain in Miami, the ICEX Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade and the Federation of Spanish Audiovisual Producer Associations (FAPAE).
